Our Story
Started as an effort to help our child cope with his maths lessons, MOM and I Everyday Maths, began as a customised worksheet meant to support his learning. Because he was constantly falling prey to bouts of illnesses, his subject matter especially maths had suffered.
Determined that he should not be left behind, we created and customised our own worksheet alongside what was being taught in class whenever he was kept away.
With close supervision and guidance from us and his teacher, that shared effort proved to be a turning point for him. He managed to keep up. And with renewed confidence, his performance gradually improved and so did his marks.
The rest was history. Fast forward, today he is well and settling into the next stage of his student life, university. Indeed since its introduction in 2008, we are grateful MOM and I Everyday Maths has been able to serve and help like minded parents who are determined to become “hands-on” partners in their children learning process and raise their achievements. Today it is still serving as a platform to spread the positive message of parents involvement.
The mission behind the programme is simple: By working together with our child, the programme wishes to help him/her embrace maths without the fear associated with learning the subject, while also helping us to develop lasting bonds.
The programme encourages a child to hone his/her maths skills by gaining accuracy and speed through regular, systematic practice.
Through the programme’s lesson plans, parents are guided on ways to provide quality maths instructions to their children. The programme is continuously being developed, updated and reviewed to meet new requirements.
Its offerings include a supplementary maths programme books and workshop for child and parents developed in line with the Singapore maths syllabus.
The programme caters to children from (kindergarten 2 ) 5-year olds to (Primary 4) 9- year olds, supports both home schooling and personal tutoring.
